STEEPLECHASE HORSES OWNED BY SIR GEORGE BULLOUGH, BT.

*

During the Great War use of the railway to move horses was not permitted.
Horses were walked to the course, tiring and stressful even for short distances.

All  the horses listed above were  owned (at least for sometime)
by Sir George and Lady Bullough.

Ownership and history was established
by the author's reference to his personal library of relevant annual editions of-

The Bloodstock Breeders' Review
edited and published by The British Bloodstock Agency, Ltd.,
Charing Cross Road, London, W.C. 2.

The Racing Calendar - Races Past
published for the Jockey Club by Weatherby and Sons, Cavendish Square, London.
which lists the horse's owner for each race, purchase or sale.

Sporting Chronicle Racing Up-to-Date
published by Sporting Chronicle, London and Manchester.

In a few instances there is no record of a change of ownership, it is reasonably assumed these were private sales and not through a bloodstock market.
Such a change being ascertained by racing history ownership.
