Vishnu idol at the Pandua Dhootha Perumal Temple near Kanchipuram, south-west of Madras.
The idol stands twenty-five feet high.
Original photograph most likely by German photographers Theodore Klein and
 E. F. Heinrich Weile, trading as Wiele & Klein, Mount Road, Madras, established in 1882, acclaimed for producing historic pictures, postcards and sterographs of Colonial India.
